Hey, got a question about 3DS Max. Are the controls the same as Maya!? I'm starting a job in 2 weeks!!!! That's what they use.

W E R - Move rotate Scale are the same.

watch the shift and click as you will duplicate instead of add to selection. I think you need CTRL select instead to add to selection.

RMB to convert primitive (sphere,etc) and choose convert to editable poly. This is so you can enter component mode and change stuff.

Use modifiers on the right to add functionality like blendshapes(morpher) or smoothskin(skin) .

There is no history except for the modifer stack which you add on top of. It works out the bottom layer first.

M is material editor. Pretty easy to work out.

Render settings should be similar for Mental Ray.

Create objects from create menu item above. On the right you have 6 tabs. First is for creation. second is for modifiers.

no, im still here, but we had to advertise the position to reapply for my permit. No one made the cut, unfortunately.

How you doin', still in Toronto or BC? Cause if your here, i got some video tutes for ya that i did (too big to email) and because you still got our textbooks? or did you hand them in to someone?

Shit! No, I didn't hand them in. I have to come to the school on teusday anyway. Do I get my money back for them!? Cuz I paid for them.
